- Purpose
- Medical Aid Initiative at UCSD aims to help identify and reallocate excess, unused medical supplies from UCSD Health facilities to underserved hospitals and clinics locally and abroad. We will work with local organizations that serve communities in need, both locally and abroad. We are dedicated to improving local and global access to healthcare and to promoting sustainability by reducing medical waste. Members will have the opportunity to help facilitate the medical supply reallocation process, organize fundraising efforts, and to learn about sustainability in hospital systems.
